Privacy Policy

Introduction

aiCooking is operated by Enchantia Realms, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the aiCooking iPhone app, the web app at aicooking.app/app and the website aicooking.app, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

You must be at least 17 years old to use aiCooking. By using it, you agree to this policy.

Information you give us

Account: your email address, the name you choose to show, and your password (stored only in hashed form by our sign-in system), or your Sign in with Apple identifier. We also keep your language.

Your kitchen and preferences: your diet, allergies, nutrition goals, pantry, shopping list, meal plans, saved and favorite recipes, and the chefs you follow or create.

What you create and post: the requests you write for recipes and chefs, the recipes and chefs made for you, and the reviews, comments, ratings and photos you post, including on the Recipe of the Day.

Photos and voice: photos you send so we can identify ingredients, recreate a dish or read a receipt; voice recordings when you speak to Mila and your device could not turn them into text itself; and text you ask to have read aloud.

Messages to us: emails you send us, and messages you send us on Instagram.

Information collected as you use aiCooking

Purchases: your gem balance and its history, and whether you have a plan and when it ends. Payments are handled by Apple or, on the web, by Stripe through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.

Usage and device: which features you use and how the app performs (Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring; on the web, only if you allow it), the token that lets us send you notifications, and the information servers record with every request, such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system and language.

Cookies and browser storage

The website aicooking.app does not use cookies or analytics. Its home page asks our server for today's Recipe of the Day, and your browser remembers your cookie choice.

The web app keeps what it needs to work in your browser's storage, such as your sign-in session and your settings. Its payment system loads Stripe, which sets cookies to protect payments against fraud; these are needed for the web app to work. It uses analytics cookies (Google Firebase Analytics) only if you allow them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page of the website or in the web app's Profile, or by clearing your browser's data for aicooking.app.

Mila, our kitchen assistant

What you say to Mila, and any photo you send her, is sent to our servers and to an AI provider so she can answer. We do not keep the text of your conversations on our servers; your chat history and the notes you ask her to remember are stored on your device. We keep a count of messages, for daily limits and billing.

When Mila changes something for you, such as your allergies, your shopping list or your meal plan, that change is saved to your account.

The pantry scanner

The scanner in the iPhone app looks at the camera on your phone, using Apple's on-device Vision: those pictures are not sent to us. When you tap Look closer, or when the scanner looks closer by itself (a few times per scan at most), one photo is sent to identify what is in it. Barcodes are sent to look up product names, and the lines of a receipt you choose to read are sent to turn them into items. Nothing is added to your pantry until you say so.

How we use your information

We use your information:

• To run aiCooking: your account, recipes, chefs, Mila, cook mode, your pantry, lists and meal plans.
• To create recipes, chef portraits, recipe photos, translations and spoken audio with AI, shaped around your diet and allergies.
• To keep aiCooking safe: photos and text are checked automatically, to make sure they are about food and are not explicit or abusive.
• To handle purchases, gems, plans and rewards.
• To answer you when you write to us.
• To send emails you need, such as account confirmation and password reset, and, if you agree, news and offers (see our Marketing Terms).
• To understand how aiCooking is used and fix what breaks.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

What other people see

Reviews, comments, ratings and photos you post are shown to other people with your display name and picture.

Recipes and chefs made at your request can be offered to other people in the aiCooking marketplace. They stay in aiCooking, without your name, if you delete your account, because other people may have bought them.

Service providers

We share information only with the companies that help us run aiCooking, and only what each needs for its job:

• Google: Gemini AI models (recipes, chefs, Mila, translations, recipe photos and portraits, speech to text and text to speech, and understanding photos), Google Cloud Storage (photos), and Firebase (notifications, analytics and performance).
• OpenRouter: routes some AI requests, including the automatic safety checks of photos and text, made with models from Perplexity and OpenAI.
• Oracle Cloud: hosts our servers and database, which run on the open-source Supabase platform.
• RevenueCat: purchases and plans, with Apple (App Store) and Stripe (payments on the web).
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store payments.
• Open Food Facts: receives barcode numbers, to look up product names.
• Hostinger: hosts the website. Our own mail server sends our emails; Hostinger and Google receive the emails you send us.
• Meta (Instagram) and Zernio: when you comment on our posts or message us on Instagram, Zernio sends our replies.

How long we keep it, and deleting your account

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then Delete account), or by writing to us. Your account and the information tied to it, including your gem balance and history, are deleted at once; copies in our backups are removed as the backups expire. Recipes and chefs made at your request stay in aiCooking without your name, as explained above.

Deleting your account cancels a plan bought on the web. A plan from the App Store or Google Play is not cancelled by it: cancel it there (your Apple ID settings, or the Play Store). Payment records held by Apple, Stripe and RevenueCat are kept by them under their own policies and the law.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections and access controls. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of your information in the app, turn notifications off in your device settings, and stop marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in each one.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit how we use it. Write to us at mila@aicooking.app and we will answer within the time the law requires.

Our servers and providers may process your information in the United States and other countries.

Children

aiCooking is not meant for anyone under 17, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before a change that matters takes effect.
